Project Description

Providing a wide range of heavy civil services for multiple wind farm owners, Oftedal has constructed wind farm sites and associated infrastructure in Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming since 2016. Oftedal renewable energy crews are largely responsible for the construction of over 1,000 high-capacity Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) ranging from 2.0 MW to 4.2 MW platforms at wind farm sites capable of delivering 500 KW to 1,000 KW of clean energy.

These projects and their scope of work were characterized by hundreds of miles of new access roads, WTG foundation excavation and backfill, constructing and reclaiming crane pads, electric substation construction including site preparation, foundation excavations, underdrain installation, supplying and placing yard finish rock, O&M building pad prep, underground utility installation, stormwater collection pond construction, earthen diversion structures, stormwater collection system trenching with associated pipe installation and site erosion control BMP’s.
